In my heart

I hold you in my heart
-as if a cloud
stretching itself beyond boundaries
shields the moon
from evil eyes;

burning in the sun,
hiking airy heights
repeatedly losing its form
-failed attempts
of rising to skies,
only - to touch thy shine;

longing - for your embrace
to soothe this madness
ending up grabbing
flickering rays of light,
as stars around warn
-it's merely an illusion

I hold you in my heart
-as if a tree
with all its might
embraces the moon,
-unattainable yet desirable;

twisting and turning branches
to hang on to thy shine,
patching every hole
-failed attempts
of absorbing each ray,
only - to feel thy warmth,

all its twigs and leaves
spread like eternity;
ending up grabbing
darkness veiled in stars,
as flailing branches warn
-it's merely a mirage

I hold you in my heart
-as if an ocean
carries the moon,
creating thy image
as far as eyes reach;

continually striking the land
with leftover strength,
pushing itself to the brink
-failed attempts
of leaping every night
only - to wipe away differences;

ambitious to caress thy scars
but waves bleeding sparks,
ending up grabbing
retreating splinters of glass,
as hardened rocks caution
-it's merely a reflection
