All of a sudden, their eyes met
a flickery reflection
of the small-ness, the irrelevance
of their differences, in comparison
to the love and longing;
the realization dawning slowly
in the dimly lit room,
sliding down the pale
brownish drapes,
interrupted by a burst
of silly laughter, reflexively
they embraced each other -
almost in the same instant;
leaving behind, turning away
from their differences,
in embrace of tiny reflections,
nothing else mattered
when they were together
side by side, in love -
in each other's arms.
